Gun Database

This database is divided into 6 sections with their links below. Simply click on the appropriate heading for the tabulated information. A combined table of all records is available on request.

The tables were formatted using Microsoft Excel 2000 and should be accessible to most browsers. However, if you are unable to access them I would be happy to post a printed copy to a UK or European address.

Once in the section of your choice, simply scroll through the entries. Sadly, the headings and gun numbers are not 'frozen panes' so it can be tricky to stay on the same gun or heading. Hopefully, a new program will enable us to do this, please be patient!

The 'photo' column gives access to any available pictures of the gun in question. They have been sized to fill a 800x600 screen and will take a few seconds to download. If you need a higher resolution or a photo of a particular detail contact me, I may have something on file.

Many of the photos in this web site were supplied free-of-charge by their owners and I would like to acknowledge the enormous help that I have had from Christopher Austin of Bonhams, Emma Strouts of Christies Images, Andrew Orr of Holt & Company Auctioneers Ltd and Gavin Gardiner of Sotheby's, not to mention a myriad of private individuals who would need a whole page just to list them. Thankyou.

Every extra record helps so if you would be willing to submit the details of your Blanch gun for inclusion in this database please go to the Submit Gun Details page or click here.

Please note: This data has been collated from many sources and although we have made our best efforts to ensure its accuracy, we regret that we can not guarantee the veracity of the information contained.
